| Summary: |
I am currently a father of 2. I have a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old. My oldest is named Josh and my youngest is Josh II. This story begins in December of 2006. My two sons were getting ready to go on a trip for Christmas and it was 2 days before our trip. I was downstairs and getting ready to change my 2-year-old son when my 5-year-old came in and told me that he needed to go potty, so he went upstairs and next thing I hear him crying, so I walk upstairs and wait to change Josh II and ask Josh what is the matter and he told me, "I peed my pants." And I told him, “it’s quite alright, it happens a lot at your age.” So I gave him a bath and put his clothes in the washer and ask him to change his brother for me and he says okay. He has done this numerous times and he doesn’t mind doing it and so I get all the stuff ready for him and he changes his brother. I put the clothes in the washer and go back and see how he is doing and he tells me he is done. So I fix them dinner and we decide to watch a movie and I put Josh II to bed and then came down and saw Josh crying again and he said he peed his pants and I said, “I have no idea what is going on with you but tonight you are going to wear a diaper to bed until I can make an appointment with the doctor.” So he agrees and it seems like he was very excited about it. So he wastes no time and says, “Daddy, can we do it now?” and I said, “That’s fine.” So I picked him up and he likes it when I do that and take him to his room and lay him on his bed. So I take off his shoes and clothes and grab a Pampers size 6 in which he only weighs 40 pounds. He is very small for his age. I lay the Pamper on the bed and put some powder under his butt and grab his ankles in the air and put the diaper under his bottom and tape it up. So I ask him if he wants to sleep in the crib with his brother and he wanted to. So we go watch a movie and he falls asleep during the movie, so I take him upstairs and check his diaper and he was dry and put him in the crib and put a pacifier in his mouth and he falls asleep. I get some work done and order a crib for him. The next morning I hear my 2-year-old son cry and go to his room and find both of them awake and take out Josh and check his diaper and he was wet, so I put him on the changing table and change him and take Josh II out and change his diaper. So I take them downstairs and feed them breakfast and call the doctor and tell them the problem and they said they can see him at 10:00 that morning so I ask him if he wants to stay in his diaper and he says, "Yes, daddy, please." I agree and it’s almost time for the appointment and I get their clothes on and take them to the car and put Josh II in his car seat and Josh wants to be in a car seat, so I get his old one and put him in. I get to the doctor and they are ready to see him and the doctor asks, “What is going on?” I tell him, “he is having problems wetting his pants and can’t figure out what it is.” As I put him on the table he decides to be poopy and I tell the doctor I need to change him, but he says to wait and he checks him out and says he doesn't see any problem, but tells me to have an x- ray and to keep wearing the diapers until then, so I tell him okay and I take them out to the car, but I change Josh first and then take them home. I call to get an x-ray and they don’t have an opening a month and I tell them, “okay that is fine.” So we leave tomorrow and I currently have two babies now both in diapers and we are supposed to fly out tomorrow for Florida. I decided to go to the store and buy two bags of Pampers and some wipes and couple other things.
Added Sunday, September 28, 2008 I am finishing this story, and let me put you up to speed on Josh. My oldest wets his pants and I can’t figure out what is going on with him so I put him back to diapers and we are supposed to leave to go to Florida for a trip in 2 days. I take him to the doctor’s office and the doctor can’t figure out what is going on, so he said to get an x-ray and they don’t have an opening for a month. So now we are supposed to leave to go to Florida tomorrow and I have two babies in diapers. It’s the day before we leave and we are leaving the doctor’s office and I put them in their car seats. And its noon, so we stop at McDonald’s and eat lunch, so I go through the drive-thru and head home. I take Josh and Josh II out their car seats and go inside. I put Josh II in his highchair and Josh wants to be in his booster seat. I let them eat and the doorbell rings and its Josh's crib and many other things. They get done eating and next thing I hear is this big fart and check Josh II’s diaper—nope, not him. Josh is the one that is poopy so I carry him to the living room and lay him down and change him. I take Josh II up to his room for a nap and Josh wants to sleep in his new crib, so I set it up and put him down for his nap. It’s now 1:00 and I start packing my stuff up and the boys stuff, I grab the clothes for Josh like his new onesie, footed pajamas, and things like that. Its now 2:00 and the phone rings and its my mother. I talk to her and tell her about Josh and she said if that’s how you want to handle it then that’s fine and tells me, “I will see you guys tomorrow.” I get some more work done (I work from home)and it’s now 3:00 so I wake up the boys and change them and let them play and then dinner time is here and we eat. I tell Josh, “These are your new pajamas and you will wear them for now on,” and he says, "okay, daddy". It’s now 8:00 and I give them their bath and put them to bed. I do some more work and go to sleep. My clock goes off and it was 5:15 and our flight leaves in 2 hours. I wake up the boys and change them and get them dressed. I feed them some breakfast and I took a shower and got ready while they ate. Its now 5:45 we needed to head to the airport and we get picked up by a taxi and I take the boys out and give the bags to the taxi driver and buckle my boys in. We arrive at the airport and its 6:15. We check in and both of my boys were poopy so I took them to the bathroom and grabbed Josh II and changed him. Then Josh but he wanted for me to change him on the changing table so I laid him down on their and then another father comes in with his 3 year old and looks at me and asks me how old my son is, and I say he is 4. The man says, “Isn’t he a little old for diapers?” and I said, “He has been having some problems,” and the man says, “Same with mine.” I change Josh and they are boarding the plane. We get on the plane and sit down. Josh is hungry so I give him a snack and some juice and then Josh II wants what Josh wants. So we arrive in Florida and both my boys are wet and I wait and I see my mom and Josh runs to her and gives her hug. And I hug my mom and dad’s waiting in the car. I grab all the bags and the car seats and put the boys in them. We arrive at my parents house and it’s on the beach, but it is one of the biggest houses on the beach. So the boys want to go swimming in the ocean and so I grab their swimsuits and swim diapers and put them on and they run to the beach, so they are playing and my mom and dad talk with me about work and about the boys. To be continued at another time.
